Recycled-Material Innovation for the Composites Industry

allnex has been awarded the Gold Medal – Sustainable Product Award at the 2025 SPASA Awards of Excellence, presented by the Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia, for Polyplex® 200E recycled PET (rPET) unsaturated polyester resin. Designed for the composites industry, this high-performance resin delivers strength, durability, and excellent processability, making it a preferred material for swimming pool construction.

Polyplex® 200E is produced using rPET, helping to reduce plastic waste sent to landfills. The construction of a single swimming pool using Polyplex® 200E can repurpose approximately 1,500–2,200 plastic bottles, demonstrating a tangible commitment to advancing circularity and the closing of the plastic loop.
