(Translation) No. 01-500/2013 29 July 2013 Subject Oil Spill from Flexible Hose Leakage To President The Stock Exchange of Thailand PTT Global Chemical Public Company ("PTTGC") would like to inform that on July 27, 2013 at 6.50 hrs., leakage in the flexible hose (size 16 inches) was found at the Single Point Mooring (SPM) while discharging crude oil from a vessel to the Refinery, 20 kilometers Southeast of Map Ta Phut seaport. The leakage resulted in oil spill for approximately 50,000 liters or equivalent to 316 barrels. PTTGC has mitigated the impact of the oil spill by immediately shutting the pipeline valve to prevent further leakage followed by the cleanup of the spill by collecting oil from the sea surface, and spraying oil-spill dispersants both by ships and by planes. Currently, the spill reduced to approximately 5,000 liters and the mitigation is being conducted continuously. As for the Refinery's operation, it can be operating as usual. In this regard, PTTGC has insurance coverage under Property Damage and Business Interruption, Marine Cargo, and Third Party Liability. PTTGC and the insurer are currently in the process of appraising the claim value.
