GC Group Receives Eight Awards at the Thailand Labor Management Excellence Award 2019 Ceremony
PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) Group recently received eight awards at the Thailand Labor Management Excellence Award 2019 ceremony that took place on 9 September, 2019, at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Muang Thong Thani.
The Department of Labor Protection and Welfare gave away outstanding model awards for safety, occupational health, and workplace environment at a recognition ceremony it organized for companies committed to upholding Thai Labor Standards and Systems. The awards recognize companies that ensure compliance with government laws and regulations and have developed an effective safety and health management system that meets international standards.
The companies that receive awards are honored as role models that serve as a positive example for others in benefiting society as a whole. Key qualifications for the awards include no record of unsafe operational activities; no employees facing workplace hazards that lead to death, disability, or loss of the use of body parts over the last two years; and reducing employee absenteeism rates from unsafe workplaces leading to leave of absences of three days or more by 5% over the last five years.

Outstanding model organization award for safety, occupational health, and workplace environment in 2019 at the national level (Diamond) for the fifth consecutive year:

Branch 2 (GC2): Polyethylene Plant, received by Sakon Tansurat, Division Manager, Asset Utilization.
Recognition as an organization that has maintained Thai Labor Standards for the fifth consecutive year:
