Khun Warawan Tippawanich, Senior Vice President – Corporate Affairs, PTT Global Chemical PCL, was the Company’s representative in granting medical apparatus, comprising of 3 items namely; an incubator with a resuscitation equipment for newborn babies, a baby crib, and 2 hematocrit centrifuges, valuing 477,000 Baht to Khao Chamao Chalermphrakiat 80 Years Hospital. In this regard, Khanit Tantichaiwanich, M.D., the Hospital Director, was the recipient of these medical apparatus.

This occasion of sponsorship was part of the “Giving Back to Society” campaign initiated in the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on April 5, 2017. It was the Company’s intention to provide financial aid for public causes for 100 Baht per one shareholder who registered to attend the meeting. This year, the total number of participants was 4,180 and so the amount of money raised was used to purchase medical apparatus for hospitals in remote, less developed areas. Khao Chamao Chalermphrakiat 80 Years Hospital is located in Huay Tub Mon sub-district, Khao Chamao district, Rayong. It is a 30-bed hospital and has started its out-patient operations since August 28, 2006. The hospital is staffed by medical personnel from other hospitals and public health centers in Rayong province in order to provide medical and public health services to citizens living in Khao Chamao area who find it inconvenient to get medical service in Klaeng or Wanchan Hospitals which are located 30 kilometers away.
