Mr. Jakkarat Lertopas, Deputy Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), recently presided over a ceremony to launch the olefins tank truck fleet on which banners to promote Rayong's local products are installed. He was welcomed by Mr. Bowon Vongsinudom, President of PTT Global Chemical Plc. (PTTGC) who gave a briefing on the industry's commitment to providing support for the local community and society to achieve sustainable development on 8 March 2012.

Olefin, one of PTT Global Chemical products, is the main raw material for clear plastic (PET) and textile industries. The new fleet comprises 10 tank trucks of international safety standards. Each truck has a banner to present Rayong products with the slogan "delicious fruits, advanced industry, marvelous fish source, beautiful Koh Samet, the great poet - Sunthorn Phu".

This project is an attempt to promote Rayong's image which is a pleasant city to live, where delicious tropical fruits like mangosteen, durian, and rambutan, as well as the world-famous beach of Koh Samet are found. While rolling on their delivery routes across the country, these tank trucks will make Rayong better known to people in many other provinces.
