Mr. Anon Sirisaengtaksin, new Chairman of Community Partnership Association
Step forward to the third year of green entrepreneurs to raise standards of the environment and health for communities in Map Ta Phut
On 20 September, 2012, "Community Partnership Association" held the press conference at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok, announced its third year of green entrepreneurs in a bid to raise the standards of the environment and communities' health around the Map Ta Phut area and introduced Mr. Anon Sirisaengtaksin, CEO of PTT Global Chemical Plc., as the new Chairman of Community Partnership Association. The association also welcomed seven new members to its network to make Rayong an Eco Industrial Town.
Community Partnership Association has developed a network of industrial plants which focusing on the sustainable environment and the well-being of community people. Plants in the Map Ta Phut area and members of the association will exchange their experience and tools to ensure that their operations are safe for the environment and the people residing around their operating sites. Several activities have been designed to promote the attempt to save the environment. For example, community people are allowed to pay a visit to the plants in order to witness the transparent operations. The network to look after the environment and communities will be expanded to make Rayong an Eco Industrial Town through the cooperation among industries, the public sector and communities for a better standard of living.
Community Partnership Association has just welcomed seven new members, including Vinythai Plc., Bangkok Synthetics Co., Ltd, Bangkok Industrial Gas Co., Ltd, Padaeng Industry Plc., ABB Co, Ltd, Linde (Thailand) Plc. and PTT Phenol Co., Ltd.
Community Partnership Association was established on 24 May, 2010, by five founding members, namely PTT Group, SCG Group, BLCP, Dow Chemical and Glow. The objective of the association is to make the industry clean and environmentally friendly by having members solve problems together, share their knowledge and experience, and cross-examine their operations for mutual benefit between the industry and the community.
