PTTGC Collaborates with NANYANG Singapore in the R&D Project, featuring High Performance Materials for the Automotive Industry
Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow, Chief Executive Officer and President, PTT Global Chemical PCL, signed the MOU with Prof. Lam Khin Yong, Chief of Staff and Vice President from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), under the operations of Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP). NTU is a leading university with knowledgeable staff members who have expertise in the research and development of 3D printing materials. In this regard, Mr. Prasert Bunsumpun, Chairman of the Board, PTT Global Chemical PCL, participated in the event and made a congratulatory gesture on June 20, 2017 at the Board Meeting Room, 18th floor, Building A, Energy Complex.
This objective of this particular MOU is to collaborate on the development of advanced materials using the 3D printing technology which is to be adapted for use in the automotive industry. The key quality of the material must be light-weight and durable, enhancing the effectiveness of the automobiles in terms of energy saving attributes and reduced impact on the environment resulting from the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere by over 50%.
