Dr. Chaya Chandavasu, Senior Vice President – Science and Innovation, PTT Global Chemical PLC, Khun Jirawat Nooritanon, Managing Director, Thai Oleochemicals Co., Ltd., together with the management team of PTTGC and TOL, welcomed representatives from the French Embassy, comprising of more than 10 world’s leading companies from France specializing in biotechnology innovation. The group attended the workshop aiming to form international collaboration to strengthen the bio economy on January 27, 2016 at Energy Complex, Building C. The group also visited the research and innovation development facilities and discussed on collaboration opportunities in biotechnological research. On this occasion, Dr. Sukkid Yasothornsrikul, Corporate Innovation Manager and Dr. Jittiporn Kruenate, Downstream Innovation Manager were speakers in the information sharing session and co-hosted the visit at Science & Innovation Center on January 28, 2016. 

The workshop was held under collaboration between PTTGC and the Trade Commission of the French Embassy in Thailand, in confidence of the fact that PTTGC is Thailand’s leading petrochemical product manufacturer with an environment-conscious mindset. The Company is full of potential in various aspects and can fully support biorefinery development initiatives and other areas of business in France, diversify new market opportunities in Thailand and capitalize on technological collaborations both in the manufacturing process and research.
