GC is focused on our drive toward NET ZERO emissions and shared our ideas on tackling climate change at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland. GC HIGHLIGHTS IN 2021 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) GC has been ranked first in the world for sustainability in the 2021 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) Chemical Sector for three consecutive years, and placed among the top ten in the DJSI World Index and Emerging Market Index for nine consecutive years. UN Global Compact LEAD Since 2016, GC has been ranked in the top tier of the UN Global Compact LEAD initiative, along with 38 other organizations across the world, for our determination in developing strategies for achieving the UN SDGs goals through collaboration with our stakeholders. GC leveled up to the low carbon transition framework and targeted the NET ZERO greenhouse gas emission by 2050. Carbon Disclosure Project GC was ranked as a leader in water management (A Level) and environment management in climate change (A-Level), which is the highest rank of any business in Thailand’s chemical industry. International Sustainability & Carbon Certificate GC subsidiaries (2 plants) i.e. olefins cracker plant and polyethylene plant, have been certified in sustainability and carbon reduction (ISCC PLUS) by International Sustainability & Carbon Certificate. This proves that GC have commitment and plan to transform the corporate to support bio-economy and circular economy.
